I have had a wonderful time exploring Flickr. Soo many cat pix. . . . .so little time! I have found a treasue trove of new ideas. I needed to make a poster for a Day of Reflection that I will be doing at my church. I found "mosaic maker" under Big Huge Labs. I was not able to make this work however it gave me an idea of what to do with a Word document. It turned out great!
I also will be assigning each of my classes a time period in church history. They will then have to create trading cards depicting important figures from that era. These will include bio data and other pertinent info. I think they will enjoy this.

Week 2, Thing 3
This is my first blog! I am discovering that the smallest little detail does make a difference. I'm sure this will be easier to do the next time around. Working with the avatar was lots of fun . . .it reminded me of playing with paperdolls as a child! Exporting it proved eventful, but once again worked with some help. I've never even read a blog until now so this is a new experience for me and I am already seeing possiblities for my class.
Week 1, Thing 1 and 2
I am a firm believer in lifelong learning. The older I get the more aware I become of just how much I do not know. I want to take on the quest to challenge myself to explore "strange new worlds and to boldly go" where I have never been before! I am eager to accept responsibility for my own learning "with a little help from my friends."
